The University of Padua, founded in 1222, is one of the oldest universities in Europe. The university offers 1,761 laboratory rooms (biology, computer science, mechanics, chemistry, photography) distributed over its entire area, which corresponds to 65,426 square meters. The university constantly updates its educational offer, adapting it to the needs of both people and the environment. The university offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies at the faculties of: Agricultural Sciences, Art and Philosophy, Economics, Education, Engineering, Law, Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences, Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, Political Science, Psychology, Statistics, Veterinary Medicine. The University of Padua has extensive infrastructure, an excellent library (also digitized), an extensive university campus and a botanical garden. It also has excellent facilities for distance education.
The Faculty of Political Science, Law and International Studies (SPGI) of the University of Padua is a multidisciplinary space bringing together 77 scholars in the fields of political science, law, history, political philosophy, sociology, foreign languages and cultures. The UniPD Multimedia and Digital Education Office provides technological support for training and research activities. Infrastructure and equipment available at the SPGI headquarters (Via del Santo 28): room for MSCA fellows, conference room, seminar room, computers, high-speed Internet connection and software.
The Department, as a consortium partner, will provide computers and computer programs, as well as office space with high-speed Internet access. The partner institution, the University of Padua, has extensive experience in full-time and part-time education, in particular in European studies, as well as Area Studies in the Mediterranean region and non-European relations. The university conducts research on building cooperation in the Euro-Africa area, understanding and resolving conflicts, migration and security policy. Participation in the partnership will be an opportunity for the university to exchange experiences and competences among partners, on the basis of which it will be able to create unique and innovative courses, new teaching materials intended for distance learning, as well as conduct training in this area.
